Discipline Procedure:

Each child has 4 sticks in their pocket for the day. Each time a child misbehaves the following happens:

The first correction is verbal reminders and discussions. The first consequence is taking of one stick. The child must hand it to me and tell me what they did.

We discuss what should have happened and what should be done to correct this. This stick is just a warning. The second consequence is the removal of the

second stick. The child must hand it to me and tell me what they did. We discuss what should have happened and what can be done to correct this. The third

consequence is losing the third stick. The child must hand it to me and tell me what they did. They are then sent to our buddy room to fill out a think sheet. When

they are finished or if 15 minutes has passed, the child comes back and when I have the time, I go over it with them. If I have to finish something first they sit away

from the class until I can talk to them. If a fourth stick is pulled, an office referral is filled out by me and Mrs. B. is called to come get the child. Each day on the

behavior sheet the amount of sticks pulled is recorded. It is the parents responsibility to sign the behavior sheet each night to let me know you saw it. Parents who

don't sign the behavior sheet are sending the message to their child that their behavior doesn't matter. If the same behaviors keep happening I will call and set

up a meeting with you to discuss the matter. If your child's actions warrant immediate action, an office referral will be filled out and sent in without going through

above sequence.
